Description

These crispy air fryer potato wedges are the perfect snack or side dish, offering the ideal balance of a crunchy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior. This healthier version of classic fries uses minimal oil, making them a guilt-free option without sacrificing taste. Ready in just 45 minutes, with customizable seasonings, these air-fried potato wedges are the ideal choice for any meal or as a savory snack. Perfectly seasoned with garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a hint of olive oil, these wedges will become your new go-to recipe for a satisfying treat.

Ingredients

4 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold work best)

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp smoked sweet paprika

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Cut the potatoes into wedges (8 wedges per potato).

  • Soak the potato wedges in ice-cold water for 15-30 minutes to remove excess starch and help them crisp up.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  • After soaking, dry the potato wedges thoroughly.

  • Toss the wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Arrange the wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

  • Air fry for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding herbs like rosemary or thyme, or top with Parmesan.

If you’d like spicier wedges, sprinkle with cayenne pepper or a pinch of chili powder.

Make sure to dry the potato wedges thoroughly before air frying to ensure a crispy texture.
