Ingredients
(Makes 4 Subs)
4 sub rolls or hoagie buns
¼ lb salami
¼ lb pepperoni or capicola
¼ lb roast beef (optional for extra heartiness)
8 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
½ cup banana peppers or pepperoncini, sliced
¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
½ cup Italian dressing
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Slice each sub roll or hoagie bun in half lengthwise, leaving the rolls open-faced on a baking sheet.

In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Brush generously over the inside of each roll.

Drizzle Italian dressing inside each roll for extra flavor.

Layer the deli meats on the bottom half of each sub roll, starting with salami, followed by pepperoni or capicola, and adding roast beef if desired.

Place two slices of cheese on top of the meat.

Add sliced banana peppers and red onion over the cheese.

Place the top half of each roll over the fillings.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until the bread is toasted and cheese is melted and bubbly.

Cut into individual portions and serve hot.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, replace the deli meats with roasted vegetables such as bell peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms.
Use any cheese you prefer, such as cheddar or gouda.
Add a spicy kick with hot sauce, jalapeños, or red pepper flakes.
Top with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, or olives for added crunch.
