Description

BBQ smoked sausage bites are an easy and flavorful appetizer perfect for any gathering. Made with smoked sausage and BBQ sauce, these bite-sized treats are quick to prepare and always a crowd-pleaser. Serve them at parties, game days, or casual get-togethers for a guaranteed hit!

Ingredients

2 (14-ounce) packages of Hillshire Farm smoked sausage

2 cups Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Slice each sausage into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl.

  2. Pour the barbecue sauce over the sausage pieces and stir to coat evenly.

  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the sausages in the refrigerator until you’re ready to grill.

  4. Preheat your grill to low heat and spray a flat grilling pan with non-stick spray.

  5. Place the sausage bites in the pan and grill, turning frequently, until they’re thoroughly cooked (approximately 15-20 minutes).

  6. Once done, remove from the grill and serve immediately. Optionally, add a toothpick to each bite for easy serving.

Notes

Storage/Reheating: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, wrap them in foil and place on the grill or heat in a pan over low heat. Alternatively, use a microwave for quick reheating.

Variations: Customize your BBQ sausage bites with extra heat (add chili flakes or hot sauce), cheese (melt shredded cheese on top), or even grill them on skewers with vegetables.
