Ready in just 16 minutes, this dish is perfect for a quick, yet elegant dinner. It’s gluten-free, keto-friendly, and a healthy, low-calorie meal option, making it a versatile choice for any diet.

Ingredients

lbs cod fillets

6 tbsp unsalted butter

¼ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp onion powder

¾ tsp paprika

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp ground black pepper

Juice of ½ lemon

Fresh parsley, chopped

Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Pat the cod fillets dry using paper towels and rub the seasoning mixture on both sides of the fish.

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add the fillets and cook for 2 minutes on one side.

  • Flip the fillets, add the remaining butter, and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  • Drizzle lemon juice over the cooked cod.

  • Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices before serving.

Notes

Variations: For added heat, sprinkle cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes on the seasoning mix. You can also infuse the butter with fresh herbs like thyme or dill.

Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the fridge. Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat.

Can I use frozen cod? Yes, just make sure it’s thawed and patted dry before cooking.
