Description

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Italian bread
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Bread: Cut the loaf of bread into a grid pattern without slicing all the way through.
  • Stuff with Cheese: Stuff the cuts with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, making sure the cheese fills all the slits.
  • Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Brush the garlic butter generously onto the bread.
  • Bake: Wrap the bread in foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then, uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

  • Variations: Add cooked  swap in pesto garlic butter for an Italian flair.
  • Storage/Reheating: Store leftovers wrapped in foil for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes to maintain crispiness.
