Description

These Chicken Skewers Kabobs in the air fryer are a quick and easy way to enjoy juicy, tender chicken with a crispy exterior. Coated in BBQ seasoning and glazed with tangy BBQ sauce, they offer the perfect balance of flavor without needing a grill. Perfect for a busy weeknight meal or a fun gathering, these skewers are guaranteed to be a hit.

Ingredients

Boneless skinless chicken thighs

Garlic powder

BBQ seasoning

BBQ sauce

Salt and pepper

Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized chunks. Thread the chicken onto skewers, using about 4 pieces per skewer.

  2. Season the Chicken: Sprinkle the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and BBQ seasoning. Let the skewers marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavor.

  3. Air Fry the Skewers: Preheat the air fryer and lightly spray the skewers with olive oil. Place the skewers in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 7 minutes.

  4. Add BBQ Sauce: After 7 minutes, brush the chicken with BBQ sauce, flip the skewers, and brush the other side with more BBQ sauce. Continue cooking for another 5-10 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown.

  5. Serve: Remove the skewers from the air fryer and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

Add Vegetables: You can add bell peppers, onions, or zucchini to the skewers for a colorful and flavorful kabob.

Different Marinades: Experiment with marinades like teriyaki or lemon herb for a different flavor profile.

Chicken Breast Alternative: Chicken breast can be used instead of thighs, but be careful not to overcook it, as it tends to be drier than thighs.
