Description

These Chocolate Chip Cookies are a fun, festive twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie. Soft, chewy, and loaded with chocolate chips, they’re the perfect sweet treat for Easter. With the addition of colorful sprinkles or Easter-themed candies like pastel M&M’s, these cookies are both delicious and eye-catching. Whether for a holiday gathering or just as a sweet snack, these cookies will bring joy to your celebrations and leave everyone asking for more!

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and any optional Easter-themed mix-ins like M&M’s or sprinkles until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The center will look slightly soft but will firm up as the cookies cool.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
