¼ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon melted butter

1–2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan.
-
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
-
Stir chopped apple into the dry mixture.
-
In another bowl, whisk eggs, vanilla, oil, and Greek yogurt until smooth.
-
Combine wet and dry ingredients just until mixed. Do not overmix.
-
Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the surface.
-
Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle evenly over the batter.
-
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
-
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
-
Drizzle glaze over the cooled cake before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, add ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter.
Swap apples for pears or peaches for a fruity twist.
Don’t overmix the batter to maintain a tender crumb.
Glaze is optional—dusting with powdered sugar also works well.
