Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Cream together butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes with an electric mixer).

Add the egg and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.

Flatten each cookie slightly with a glass or your hands.

Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.

Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Freeze cookies for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
Optional: Chill the dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading and help cookies hold their shape.
