Ingredients

For the Meatballs:

Lean ground beef

Saltine crackers (or Ritz crackers)

Dried minced onion

Eggs

Milk

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Chili powder

Smoked paprika

Ground cumin

Salt and pepper

For the Honey Buffalo Sauce:

Frank’s Red Hot Original Sauce

Honey

Apricot preserves

Brown sugar

Soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

Cornstarch


Instructions

  • Preheat oven and line a baking sheet with foil.

  • Combine meatball ingredients in a large bowl and mix thoroughly.

  • Form into meatballs and place on the baking sheet.

  • Bake for about 8 minutes until lightly browned.

  • In a bowl, whisk together sauce ingredients.

  • Layer meatballs and sauce in the slow cooker.

  • Cook on LOW for 2-4 hours, gently stirring after an hour.

  • Keep on WARM until ready to serve.

Notes

Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.

Add extra hot sauce or cayenne for spicier meatballs.

Swap apricot preserves with peach or pineapple preserves.

Store-bought frozen meatballs can be used for a shortcut.
