Ingredients

1 lb Johnsonville Italian sausage

1 package cream cheese

1 package processed queso cheese product

1 can black beans (drained and rinsed)

1 can whole kernel corn (drained)

2 cans Mexican-style diced tomatoes and green chiles

Instructions

  • Cook the Sausage: Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain the grease and return the sausage to the skillet.

  • Add the Cheese: Add both the cream cheese and processed queso cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheese is melted and fully combined with the sausage.

  • Add Vegetables: Stir in the black beans, corn, and diced tomatoes with green chiles. Cook until everything is heated through.

  • Transfer to Slow Cooker: Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker and set it to warm.

  • Serve: Serve hot with tortilla or corn chips.

Notes

Add Spice: Increase the heat by adding diced jalapeños or a few dashes of hot sauce.

Cheese Variations: Feel free to swap in cheddar, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack for a different flavor.

Low-Fat Options: To make it lighter, use low-fat cream cheese and queso.
