Description

Garlic Baked Brie with Herbs is a creamy, savory appetizer featuring rich brie cheese infused with aromatic garlic and fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme. Baked until gooey and melty, this dish is perfect for dipping crackers, fresh fruit, or a crusty baguette. With minimal ingredients and a touch of optional honey, it’s the perfect balance of savory and sweet—ideal for impressing guests or treating yourself to a comforting snack.

Ingredients

1 8 oz wheel of brie cheese

12 cloves fresh garlic, minced or thinly sliced

A few sprigs of fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme)

Flaked sea salt, for sprinkling

Honey, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the brie: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the brie on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in a small oven-safe dish.

  • Add garlic and herbs: Make small slits in the top of the brie and insert the minced or sliced garlic along with the fresh herbs. You can also sprinkle extra herbs on top for added flavor.

  • Bake the brie: Bake for 10-12 minutes until the brie is soft, gooey, and slightly puffed on top.

  • Add finishing touches: Remove the brie from the oven and sprinkle with flaked sea salt. Drizzle with honey if desired for a sweet contrast.

  • Serve: Serve immediately with crackers, fresh fruit, or slices of a baguette for dipping.

Notes

Spicy Variation: Add a dash of red pepper flakes for some heat.

Different Herbs: Try different herbs like basil, oregano, or sage for variety.

Add Nuts: Top with chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts for added texture.
