Description

Garlic Butter Baked Scallops are a fast, flavorful seafood dish featuring tender scallops baked in rich garlic butter and topped with a crispy Parmesan breadcrumb crust—perfect for a simple appetizer or elegant dinner. (Keyword: Garlic Butter Baked Scallops)

Ingredients

1 lb large scallops, patted dry

4 tablespoons butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Mix melted butter, garlic, and lemon juice in a small bowl.

  • Arrange scallops in a greased baking dish. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Pour garlic butter over scallops. Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and parsley; sprinkle over top.

  • Bake 12–15 minutes, or until scallops are opaque and topping is golden. Broil 1–2 minutes if desired for a crispier top.

  • Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges. Serve immediately.

Notes

Add red pepper flakes for heat.

Substitute parsley with thyme or dill for variety.

Avoid overcooking to keep scallops tender.
