This Grilled Honey Mustard Chicken recipe features tender chicken tenderloins marinated in a sweet and tangy honey mustard blend, then grilled to perfection. A quick, flavorful option for summer BBQs or easy weeknight meals.
Ingredients
2 lbs chicken tenderloins, film removed
2 tbsp mustard seeds (old-style mustard)
2 tbsp coarse Dijon mustard
3 tbsp honey
3 tsp light-tasting olive oil (or canola oil)
Zest of 1 lemon
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp onion powder
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp ground ginger
Optional Garnish:
Chopped parsley
Lemon slices
Rosemary sprigs

Make the Marinade: In a bowl, mix mustard seeds, Dijon mustard, honey, oil, lemon zest and juice, rosemary, onion powder, garlic, pepper, salt, paprika, and ginger powder until smooth.

Marinate the Chicken: Add chicken tenderloins to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Preheat Grill: Heat grill to medium-high and lightly oil grates to prevent sticking.

Grill Chicken: Grill chicken for about 8 minutes total, flipping halfway, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Serve: Let rest briefly, garnish with parsley, lemon slices, and rosemary if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Swap tenderloins with chicken breasts, thighs, or drumsticks—adjust cooking time accordingly.
Add chili flakes or hot sauce for a spicier version.
Can be oven-baked at 400°F for 20 minutes if grill is unavailable.
