Description

These Grinch Oreo Balls are a festive and fun treat, perfect for the holiday season. With a creamy, rich center made from red velvet Oreos and cream cheese, coated in light green candy melts and topped with a red candy heart, these sweet bites are sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face. They’re an easy, no-bake dessert, ideal for Christmas parties or just satisfying your sweet tooth during the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 24.4 ounces Red Velvet Oreos (2 packages, 44 cookies total)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 15 ounces light green candy melts
  • Red candy hearts

Instructions

  • Prepare the Oreo mixture: Place the Red Velvet Oreos into a food processor and pulse until the cookies are finely crushed into crumbs.
  • Mix with cream cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the Oreo crumbs. Mix until fully combined and the mixture forms a dough-like consistency.
  • Form the balls: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Chill the balls: Refrigerate the Oreo balls for 30 minutes, or until firm.
  • Melt the candy melts: Melt the light green candy melts in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth.
  • Coat the Oreo balls: Dip each ball into the melted candy melts, coating them completely. Lift with a fork and tap off any excess coating.
  • Add the candy heart: Before the coating sets, place a red candy heart on top of each Oreo ball.
  • Let them set: Return the Oreo balls to the baking sheet and let them set for 10-15 minutes, or until the candy coating has hardened.

Notes

  • Flavor Variations: Use regular Oreos or other flavors instead of red velvet Oreos for a different twist.
  • Decorative Options: Add holiday sprinkles or edible glitter on top for extra festivity.
  • Candy Coating Options: You can substitute the green candy melts with white chocolate or any other candy melt color.
