Cheese: Shredded mozzarella, optional Parmesan or cheddar

Pizza Sauce: Store-bought or homemade

Seasoning: Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic, and olive oil


Instructions

  • Prepare the Crust: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out pie crust, place it in a deep-dish pie plate, brush with olive oil, and pre-bake for 8 minutes.

  • Cook the Filling: Sauté onions and garlic in olive oil. Add ground sausage, cook until browned, then drain. Stir in pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms, and seasoning.

  • Assemble the Pie: Pour the filling into the crust, top with cheese and additional pepperoni if desired. Add a top crust, seal the edges, and slash the top for steam to escape.

  • Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
