Description

Jill’s Summer Sangria is a fruity, refreshing red wine cocktail made with, citrus juices, and fresh fruit. Perfect for parties and backyard gatherings, this make-ahead sangria is a crowd-pleaser that gets better with time. Top it with lemon-lime soda for a fun fizzy twist!

Ingredients

1 (750 ml) bottle red wine (e.g. Tempranillo, Merlot, Garnacha)

½ cup triple sec

⅓ cup frozen lemonade concentrate

⅓ cup orange juice

¼ cup lemon juice

½ cup white sugar (adjust to taste)

1 medium lemon, sliced

1 medium orange, sliced

1 medium lime, sliced

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

1 (12 oz) can or bottle lemon-lime soda (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  • In a large pitcher, mix red wine, triple sec, lemonade concentrate, orange juice, and lemon juice.

  • Stir in the sugar until fully dissolved.

  • Add sliced lemon, orange, lime, and strawberries.

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  • Serve over ice, topping each glass with lemon-lime soda if desired.

Notes

For a white sangria version, use white wine and peach schnapps.

Add fruits like blueberries, pineapple, or peaches for variety.

Use sparkling wine for a bubbly sangria twist.

Frozen fruit works great and helps keep the sangria chilled.
