Description

Swap traditional pizza dough for naan for a crispy, delicious crust, and top it with your favorite ingredients. This customizable recipe is ideal for family meals, parties, or a fun weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

Naan bread (regular-sized or mini)

Prepared pizza sauce or pesto

Italian seasoning (optional)

Mozzarella cheese, shredded

Parmesan cheese, grated

Salt

Red pepper flakes

Fresh basil leaves, torn


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Place the naan directly on the oven rack and bake for 2 minutes. Flip and bake for an additional 3 minutes to crisp up.

  • Remove the naan from the oven and spread your choice of pizza sauce or pesto on top.

  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan over the sauce, and add salt and red pepper flakes to taste.

  • Return the naan pizzas to the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving

Notes

For a veggie-packed version, add mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, or spinach as toppings.

Add cooked chicken, pepperoni, or sausage for extra protein.

Use garlic naan for an extra burst of flavor.
