Description

These Nutella Chocolate Chip Crescent Rolls are a quick and delicious treat made with flaky crescent dough, creamy Nutella, and gooey chocolate chips. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, dessert, or an after-school snack, they’re easy to prepare and even easier to love—ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

1 (12 oz) can Pillsbury big and flaky crescent rolls

5 tbsp Nutella (about 2 tsp per roll)

¼ cup chocolate chips (about ½ tbsp per roll)

1 large egg

1 tbsp water or 2% milk

Optional Garnishes

Melted chocolate chips

Honey

Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare Dough: Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.

  3. Add Filling: Spread ~2 tsp Nutella on each triangle, then sprinkle ~½ tbsp chocolate chips over it.

  4. Roll and Shape: Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the tip. Place tip-side down on the baking sheet.

  5. Egg Wash: Whisk egg and water or milk. Brush over tops of rolls.

  6. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.

  7. Optional Garnishes: Let cool slightly, then drizzle with melted chocolate or honey, or dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Nutty Twist: Add chopped hazelnuts or almonds inside for crunch.

Fruit Add-Ins: Include banana or strawberry slices for added sweetness.

Alternative Spreads: Try peanut butter or cookie butter in place of Nutella.

Mini Option: Use regular crescent rolls for smaller, snack-sized treats.
