Description

Pineapple Fritters are a tropical dessert featuring fresh pineapple rings dipped in a sweet batter, fried to golden perfection, and dusted with cinnamon sugar. Quick, easy, and irresistibly delicious, they’re perfect for brunch, desserts, or any festive gathering.

Ingredients

1 large pineapple, peeled and cored

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 large egg

3/4 cup milk

Vegetable oil for frying

Additional cinnamon and sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Slice pineapple into 1/2-inch thick rings.

  • Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.

  • Beat in egg and milk until smooth.

  • Heat oil to 375°F (190°C).

  • Dip pineapple rings into the batter and fry in batches for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown.

  • Drain on paper towels and dust with cinnamon sugar while warm.

  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Use canned pineapple rings if fresh is unavailable (pat dry first).

Add rum or coconut extract to batter for tropical flair.

Substitute with gluten-free flour if needed.

For a twist, drizzle with caramel sauce or add shredded coconut to the batter.

Best served warm for optimal crispiness.
