Description

Pizza Cruffins combine the delicious flavors of pizza with the flaky, buttery layers of croissants. Filled with mozzarella, mini pepperonis, and garlic butter, these cruffins are an irresistible, portable snack or appetizer. Perfect for parties, game days, or a quick snack!


Ingredients

  • 3 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll sheets
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), softened
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup mini pepperonis
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
  • Roll out each tube of dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle. If using perforated dough, pinch seams together.
  • Mix ½ cup butter, garlic, and Italian seasoning in a bowl. Spread about ⅓ of this mixture over the dough.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup mozzarella cheese and ⅓ of the mini pepperonis over the butter mixture.
  • Roll the dough tightly from the long edge and cut the log in half. Then, cut each half into two shorter logs.
  • Roll each section into a cinnamon roll shape and place them in the muffin tin.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until golden.
  • For the topping, melt the remaining butter with garlic, parsley, and salt, and brush over the baked cruffins.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
