Ingredients
- 16 oz brioche bread, cubed
- 1½ cups milk
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- 2½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cube the Bread: Cut brioche into 1- to 2-inch cubes and place in a large mixing bowl.
- Make the Custard: In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, heavy cream, sugars, eggs, vanilla extract, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
- Soak the Bread: Pour the custard over the bread cubes, gently stirring to coat. Let sit for 20 minutes to absorb.
- Transfer & Bake: Pour the soaked bread mixture into the greased baking dish. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until set in the center and golden brown on top.
