Description

“Bread in 20 Minutes” is a quick and easy recipe that delivers a soft, fluffy loaf in less than half an hour. With simple ingredients like flour, butter, and milk, this versatile bread can be customized with herbs, cheese, or sweet flavors. Perfect for a last-minute side or snack, this homemade bread is ready to serve in just 20 minutes!

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

3/4 cup milk (or water)

1 tablespoon sugar (optional)

1 teaspoon garlic powder or herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and any additional ingredients like sugar, garlic powder, or herbs.

  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: Pour in the melted butter and milk (or water). Stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  4. Transfer to the Pan: Spoon the batter into your prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.

  5. Bake: Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  6. Cool and Serve: Let the bread cool for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Herbed Bread: Add 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary, thyme, or oregano for an extra flavor twist.

Cheesy Bread: Add 1/2 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella) to the batter for a cheesy version.

Sweet Bread: Omit the salt and add vanilla extract or cinnamon for a sweet version.
