2 sprigs fresh rosemary
¾ cup white sugar
½ cup water (for rosemary syrup)
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
4 cups cold water
Instructions
-
Puree Watermelon: Blend watermelon until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve to remove pulp.
-
Make Rosemary Syrup: In a saucepan, combine sugar, ½ cup water, and rosemary. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Cool completely.
-
Mix Lemonade: In a large pitcher, combine strained watermelon juice, lemon juice, and 4 cups cold water.
-
Add Syrup: Strain rosemary syrup into the pitcher and stir well.
-
Chill and Serve: Refrigerate until cold. Serve over ice with optional lemon slices or rosemary sprigs for garnish.
Notes
Add sparkling water instead of still for a fizzy version.
Swap sugar for honey or agave for a natural sweetener.
Try mint or basil in place of rosemary for a flavor variation.
Freeze into popsicles for a fun summer treat.
