Description

Sausage and cheese crescent rings are a savory, crowd-pleasing dish featuring seasoned sausage, melted cheddar, and flaky crescent roll dough. This easy-to-make recipe is perfect for brunch, dinner, or as an appetizer. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like mustard or ranch for an irresistible treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the cooked sausage, cheddar cheese, Dijon mustard, oregano, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  5. On a parchment-lined baking sheet, arrange triangles in a circle, with pointed ends facing outward and slightly overlapping.
  6. Spoon the sausage mixture onto the wide ends of the triangles.
  7. Fold pointed ends over the filling and tuck them under the wide ends, forming a ring.
  8. Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly, slice, and serve.
