Ingredients
1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy, based on preference)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls (8-count per can)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces. Once browned and cooked through, drain any excess fat.
-
Add the softened cream cheese to the sausage, stirring until fully combined and melted.
-
Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese if using. Mix until melted and smooth.
-
Unroll the crescent rolls and separate into triangles. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture in the center of each triangle.
-
Roll up each crescent starting from the wide end and place them on the baking sheet.
-
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
-
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
For a spicier version, use spicy sausage or add chili flakes to the sausage mixture.
You can substitute cheddar with mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack cheese.
Add sautéed vegetables like onions or bell peppers for extra flavor.
