Description

These Skillet Bang Bang Chicken Thighs are juicy, flavorful, and coated in a creamy, slightly spicy homemade Bang Bang sauce. Ready in just 22 minutes, this quick and easy dish is perfect for a busy weeknight meal. Enjoy tender boneless, skinless chicken thighs seared to perfection and tossed in a sweet, spicy, and creamy sauce that will have you coming back for more.

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 recipe Bang Bang sauce (or 1 cup store-bought)
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Seasoning – In a small bowl, mix kosher salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Season the Chicken – Rub the seasoning evenly onto the chicken thighs.
  3. Cook the Chicken – Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken thighs and cook for 5 minutes on one side. Flip, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  4. Remove & Keep Warm – Transfer chicken to a plate and cover with foil.
  5. Prepare the Sauce – Pour Bang Bang sauce into the same skillet, stirring to scrape up any browned bits. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Coat the Chicken – Return the chicken to the skillet, coating each piece with the sauce.
  7. Serve – Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Spice Level – Adjust the heat by adding more or less Sriracha in the Bang Bang sauce.
  • Healthier Option – Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter sauce.
  • Cooking Methods – This dish can also be grilled or baked for a different texture.
  • Storage – Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
