Description

These Sunflower Seed Chocolate Bites are a quick and healthy treat made with just four simple ingredients: sunflower seeds, maple syrup, salt, and chocolate. Naturally gluten-free and vegan, these bites offer a perfect balance of sweetness and nutrition, ideal for a satisfying snack or energy boost.

Ingredients

1 cup (150g) Sunflower seeds

2 tablespoons Maple syrup

Pinch of Salt

60g Chocolate (dark or milk)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix together the sunflower seeds, maple syrup, and salt until well combined.
  • Use a cookie cutter to shape the mixture into bite-sized pieces. Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons into the cutter, pressing down gently with the back of a spoon. Carefully remove the cutter.
  • Place the shaped bites on the tray and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden.
  • Let the bites cool completely.
  • Melt the chocolate in the microwave and dip one side of each bite into the chocolate. Allow the chocolate to set.

Notes

For a different flavor, you can substitute sunflower seeds with pumpkin seeds or other nuts like almonds or cashews.

If you prefer more sweetness, add a little more maple syrup or drizzle extra chocolate on top.

You can also toast the sunflower seeds before mixing to add a crunchy texture.
