Description

Taco Balls are bite-sized, cheesy, and savory snacks that combine seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and biscuit mix into the ultimate party appetizer or game-day snack. These easy-to-make taco-inspired balls are packed with flavor and can be customized to suit your spice preferences.

Ingredients

½ pound ground beef

1 package taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning)

2 cups cheddar or pepper jack cheese, shredded

1 cup biscuit mix

Dipping sauce of your choice (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.

  • Add taco seasoning to the beef and stir to combine. Let it cool slightly.

  • In a large bowl, mix the seasoned beef, shredded cheese, and biscuit mix until well combined.

  • Scoop out portions of the mixture and roll into balls, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.

  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

  • Serve warm with dipping sauces such as salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.

Notes

Optional Variations: Add chopped jalapeños for heat, or try mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or a Mexican cheese blend.

For a vegetarian option, use plant-based ground meat or lentils instead of beef.

Gluten-free? Use gluten-free biscuit mix.
