Description

These teriyaki baby bella mushrooms are a savory, sweet, and umami-packed side dish, perfect for pairing with steaks, chicken, or as a vegetarian main dish. The mushrooms are sautéed in a rich blend of butter and olive oil, seasoned with garlic, and coated in a delicious teriyaki sauce for an irresistible flavor boost. Topped with fresh green onions, these mushrooms make the ideal appetizer or side dish for any meal.

Ingredients

1 lb baby bella mushrooms (cremini mushrooms)

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp sea salt

1/2 cup teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 tbsp green onion, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.

  • Add garlic powder and sea salt to the pan, then toss in the baby bella mushrooms.

  • Sauté the mushrooms until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.

  • Reduce heat and pour in the teriyaki sauce. Stir well and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

  • Remove from heat and top with chopped green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or in a skillet over medium heat.

Sweeten It Up: Add extra teriyaki sauce for a sweeter flavor profile.

Crunchy Touch: Sprinkle sesame seeds or toasted sesame oil on top for added crunch and flavor.
