Ingredients

2 (7 oz) cans of drained tuna (flaked tuna in water)

8 oz light cream cheese, softened

4 tbsp minced onion

4 tbsp minced celery

4 tbsp lemon juice (from concentrate)

¼ tsp Tabasco sauce (or more to taste)

½ tsp paprika

Fresh green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except for the green onions.

  • Mix thoroughly until smooth and well-blended.

  • Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with green onions and a sprinkle of paprika.

  • Serve immediately with crackers, vegetables, or chips.

Notes

You can use chunk tuna or fresh tuna if preferred.

Feel free to swap red onions for white onions or use onion powder if fresh onions aren’t available.

Opt for regular, light, or fat-free cream cheese depending on your dietary preferences.

Adjust the spice level by using different hot sauces like Sriracha or Frank’s RedHot.

The tuna dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days, but it doesn’t freeze well.
