Description

This Impossible Cheeseburger Pie combines the classic flavors of a cheeseburger in a delicious pie form. Made with lean ground beef, cheese, and Bisquick, this savory pie features a custard-like filling that’s simple to prepare and perfect for a weeknight dinner. Whether you’re craving comfort food or something new, this cheeseburger pie is a tasty, easy-to-make meal the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • A dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (you can use 3/4 cheddar and 1/4 mozzarella for a twist)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick mix
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a 9-inch pie plate with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion for about 10 minutes, until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Season the Beef: Stir in the seasoned salt, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the pie plate.
  4. Add the Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the beef mixture.
  5. Prepare the Batter: In a small bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and Bisquick mix until smooth and lump-free. Pour this mixture over the beef and cheese.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheating: Reheat slices in the microwave for 30-45 seconds or in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes.
  • Cheese Variations: Try different cheeses like mozzarella, Swiss, or pepper jack for more flavor.
  • Spicy Kick: Add chili flakes or jalapeños for some heat.
  • Vegetarian Option: Substitute the ground beef with plant-based ground meat or mushrooms for a vegetarian version.
