Description

Creamy Horseradish Sauce is a zesty, tangy condiment perfect for pairing with beef, sandwiches, roasted vegetables, and seafood. This quick and customizable homemade sauce comes together in just 5 minutes, offering a fresh alternative to store-bought options.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish, drained and dried
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Dash of ground white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced chives
  • 2 drops Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Drain the Horseradish:
    • Place the prepared horseradish in a fine mesh sieve.
    • Press out excess liquid to prevent the sauce from becoming too thin.
  2. Combine Ingredients:
    • In a medium mixing bowl, mix the drained horseradish, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, kosher salt, white pepper, minced chives, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Chill:
    • Cover the sauce and refrigerate until ready to use. Allow it to sit for a while to let the flavors meld together.

Notes

  • Heat Level: Adjust the amount of horseradish to your preferred spice level.
  • Substitutions: Replace sour cream with Greek yogurt for a tangier flavor.
  • Herbs: Fresh dill or parsley can be added for extra flavor.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Freezing is not recommended.
