Description

These Easy Cinnamon Cruffins are a delightful hybrid of croissants and muffins, featuring flaky layers and a sweet, buttery cinnamon-sugar filling. Made effortlessly with store-bought crescent dough, these cruffins are quick to prepare and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a special treat. With a soft, golden-brown exterior and a warm, cinnamon-spiced center, they are an irresistible addition to any table.

Ingredients

  • 3 (8 oz) tubes refrigerated crescent roll sheets
  • 6 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  • Roll out each crescent dough sheet into a 12″ x 16″ rectangle. If using regular crescent rolls, pinch the seams together.
  • Spread 3 tbsp softened butter evenly over each sheet.
  • In a bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle ¼ cup of the mixture evenly over each dough sheet.
  • Roll each sheet tightly into a log from the long side.
  • Cut each log in half, then slice each half lengthwise to create four sections per sheet.
  • Roll each section into a spiral and place into the muffin tin.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • While warm, roll baked cruffins in the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture and serve.

Notes

  • Glazed Cruffins: Drizzle with a simple icing made of powdered sugar and milk.
  • Nutty Crunch: Add chopped pecans or walnuts before rolling.
  • Pumpkin Spice Twist: Swap cinnamon for pumpkin spice for a fall-inspired flavor.
