Description

Garlic Bread Pasta is a quick and flavorful fusion of buttery garlic bread and classic pasta. Featuring al dente spaghetti coated in a rich garlic butter sauce, Parmesan cheese, and fresh parsley, this dish is both simple and indulgent. Perfect as a main course or a side, it’s ready in just 25 minutes, making it ideal for weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti (or preferred pasta)
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot, cook pasta until al dente, and reserve ½ cup of the pasta water before draining.
  2. Prepare Garlic Butter Sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.
  3. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. Gradually add reserved pasta water for a smooth sauce.
  4. Incorporate Cheese & Seasonings: Stir in Parmesan until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve: Plate the pasta, garnish with fresh parsley, and optionally sprinkle red pepper flakes. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Swap spaghetti with linguine, fettuccine, or penne.
  • Add grilled chicken, shrimp, or mushrooms for protein.
  • For a baked version, top with mozzarella and broil until golden.
  • Make it vegan by using dairy-free butter and cheese alternatives.
