Description

These Jalapeño Popper Deviled Eggs are a spicy twist on the classic deviled eggs, bringing all the creamy, zesty flavors of jalapeño poppers into a bite-sized treat. With pickled jalapeños, cream cheese, and a touch of Dijon mustard, these deviled eggs are the perfect balance of creamy and spicy, making them ideal for parties, holidays, or any time you need a flavorful appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons pickled jalapeños, chopped

Instructions

  • Hard boil the eggs: Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat, cool in an ice bath or under cold running water, peel, and slice in half lengthwise.
  • Prepare the filling: Scoop out the yolks and mash them with a fork until smooth.
  • Make the filling: Add softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and chopped pickled jalapeños to the yolks. Mix until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning with more mayonnaise or jalapeños as needed.
  • Fill the eggs: Spoon the filling into the egg whites or use a piping bag for a decorative touch.
  • Serve: Garnish with extra chopped pickled jalapeños, paprika, or hot sauce. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready.

Notes

  • Extra heat: For more spice, add sriracha or cayenne pepper to the filling.
  • Cheese variation: Add shredded cheddar cheese to the filling for a cheesy twist.
  • Smokier flavor: Use roasted jalapeños instead of pickled for a smoky taste.
